In 1971, Roger and Carolyn Perron move into a farmhouse in Harrisville, Rhode Island, with their five little girls Andrea, Nancy, Christine, Cindy, and April. Their canine Sadie won't go into the house, and Nancy and Christine, while playing a round of "cover up and applaud", discover a blocked access to the basement.
